Requirements for the final presentation:
1) Context / in working groups
1a) the importance of the neighborhood within the whole city of Bratislava – the sum-up of the analyses you have done as group work at the beginning of semester – now use only data related to your concept / scale 1:5000 – min. 1 drawing
1b) connections of the neighborhood with the surroundings, entrances into the neighborhood, spaces or buildings in the neighborhood with importance for the whole city / region / country / scale 1:5000 – min. 1 drawing
2) Analyses (problems) / in working groups
2a) outputs of analyses of the neighborhood, related to your concept, summarized in SWOT analyses (can be presented as table or map / scheme with colors and pictograms, etc.)
2b) results of social survey with defined “local prototype”
3) Concept (solutions) / in working groups
3a) name + logo + motto of the concept
3b) alternatives of how it is possible to transform the concept into design / progress of your design work – min. 2-3 drawings
4) Design (final proposal) / in working groups
4a) plans of selected area / scale 1:1000 – min. 1 drawing
4b) sections, important street elevations / scale 1:1000 – min. 1 drawing
4c) 3D – perspectives, axonometric – min. 1 drawing
4d) physical model / scale 1:2000 (in case of larger selected area – e.g. the whole Šancová, etc.), 1:1000 (in case of smaller areas – e.g. square at crossing of Šancová and Karpatská, etc.)
4e) proposal drawn into contextual map / scale 1:5000 – min. 1 drawing
4f) schemes comparing “before and after”: functions, mobility, public spaces, greenery, local resident + whatever else you would like to show in comparison
5) Detail or intervention / individual
5a) detailed design of selected area – plans, sections, elevations, 3D / scale 1:500 or proposal of interventions in public space – min. 1 drawing per each working group member
+ whatever else you would like to present
6) Report (text) / individual
– an essay on topic “How will your design influence the quality of life in the neighborhood?” – min. 500 words, word document (.doc), no pictures
You are supposed to deliver:
On Monday 12.1.2015 13:00 – 16:00:
– burned CD with all drawings (jpg or pdf format)
– 1x printed graphic poster 700/1000 mm summarizing your approach
– 2x printed portfolio (for the Slovak students A3 format is obligatory, the Erasmus students whatever format and graphic you like)
On Wednesday 14.1.2015 9:00 a.m. :
– presentation (ppt or jpg or pdf format), including photos of model – physical model
